Operator Responsibility & Safety

Qualified operation, inspections and prohibited use.

Authorized operators

Only trained, competent and authorized people may operate rented equipment. The renter is responsible for selecting operators and ensuring compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions, jobsite rules and applicable safety requirements.

  • Complete pre-use and daily inspections
  • Use required personal protective equipment and fall protection
  • Observe capacity, grade, wind, surface and clearance limits
  • Maintain required spotters, barricades and traffic control
  • Keep unauthorized people away from the machine

Prohibited use

Equipment may not be used unlawfully, recklessly, while impaired, beyond rated capacity, for an unintended purpose or by an unqualified operator. The machine may not be modified, subleased or moved to another site without approval.

  • Stop operation when a warning, defect or unsafe condition exists
  • Contact Iron Falcon before attempting repair or recovery
  • The renter controls and is responsible for day-to-day jobsite operation
